After last two successive successes, Alba Berlin has recovered a defeat in the Euro league. On Friday night, the German champions underlined the table penultimate Panathinaikos Athens after a slump in the second half with 67:82 (43:43). Alba stays after the ninth defeat in the 14th game in the table cellar. Best Berliner Werner were Marcus Eriksson with 18 and Oscar da Silva with 13 points.

Trainer Israel Gonzalez had to do without the attacked Center Christ Pomade, but Eriksson was fit again. Surprisingly, captain Luke Sigma was missing again. The game developed in the first quarter to a true catering shooting. Panathinaikos met many of his distant powers and so was Alba center of the section 8:17.
